Commandos 1 Behind Enemy Lines A genuinely original game of tactics, planning, and precision The premise of Commandos is a model for the game itself: Just as the heroes of this game prevail in dangerous military operations through unorthodox yet undeniably effective means, so too is Commandos a successful real-time strategy game because of its refusal to adhere to the genre’s conventions. Pyro Studios has produced a genuinely original game of tactics, planning, and precision, one with impressive visuals and slick production values and one that will surely please fans of strategic combat, puzzle-solving, and World War II-era warfare alike.

Your six Commandos are all unique in appearance and attitude. They move smoothly whether they’re walking, crawling, running, or plying any of their deadly skills, and you can learn all about them through a fast and friendly in-game tutorial that focuses on each of their individual skills. They’re a charismatic bunch and will quickly grow on you, although their German enemies look rather boring by comparison. There isn’t much music to speak of in Commandos, and the sound, though authentic, is sparse. And though the commandos sound great and become immediately distinguishable through their speech, they have disappointingly few speaking lines. The Germans don’t have a lot to say either.
An unobtrusive and clever interface borders the screen, showing the various tools in the selected commando’s knapsack, any of which can be selected with the click of a mouse. However, this interface is mostly for show; it’s quicker just to hit the appropriate keyboard hotkey to select your green beret’s combat knife for example – and in Commandos, every moment counts. Moving your men is as simple as clicking the desired destination or double-clicking to make the commando run. You need to micromanage everybody, and no one will move an inch without your express orders. This isn’t a problem; just keep your idle men hidden at all times and you’ll be OK.
Commandos contains a single linear campaign composed of 20 big missions. The linearity isn’t problematic; while there exists a best way to win each scenario, you always get plenty of room to be especially creative or just a little reckless. And because they’re well designed and open-ended, you’ll want to play most of them more than once. Any of these missions can be attempted cooperatively with up to five other players, each responsible for at least a single troop. However, the true pleasure in this game is coordinating the entire squad single-handedly, anticipating how a situation will transpire and watching it go according to plan or successfully improvising when things don’t go your way. And what a pleasure – after you navigate your team through or past some 50-odd nonchalant German guards, destroy a vital enemy installation, and hijack a means of escape, you may well find Commandos sneaking its way to the top of your list.

The Mark Highly Compressed

IGI 3 The Mark are Europe’s last line of defense, tasked to stop a deadly nuclear package before it reaches it’s destination, London. It would be so easy and tempting to describe how bad IGI 3 The Mark is by making some cute remark like, “IGI 3 The Mark is way off IGI 3 The Mark,” or “The lame gameplay is ablack mark against IGI 3 The Mark.” However, that takes more effort than this dreary, lackluster shooter from Dream Catcher and T7 Games deserves. Sure, it’s a budget shooter, but that doesn’t excuse the fact that it’s a very bad game. As far as shooters go, IGI 3 The Mark can head toward the bottom of the list.

IGI 3 The Mark wants to be like a Hollywood style buddy movie in this case, a US Marine and a British mercenary who must team up to stop London from being nuked by terrorists. It’s a fairly generic but passable plot device, but the game manages to get everything else wrong. The plot itself is overly contrived and makes no sense. For example, before they nuke London, the terrorists need to kill the marine and his sister because they’re the only people who can identify the missile they plan to use. But wouldn’t the missile be vaporized by the nuclear explosion? There’s also the fact that the bad guy’s father, a gazillionaire, finds out about the plot and wants to stop it. But instead of picking up the phone and calling, say, the British government, he hires a mercenary to protect the marine. Because as long as he’s alive, the terrorists won’t launch their missile because he could identify it!
IGI 3 The Mark isn’t a humorous or fun game in any sense of the words. It’s also a tedious game that taxes your patience and your endurance. When you get down to it, there are simply far too many other shooters that you can spend your money on, and most of those will offer a more enjoyable and fun gameplay experience than IGI 3 The Mark.

MadeMan is a third person shooter video game developed by the UK company SilverBack Studios and published by Mastertronic and Aspyr for PlayStation 2 and Windows. MadeMan Game Based on the world of organized crime, this game will cast you in the role of Joey Verola as he rises through the ranks of the mafia. The game is set in the New York underworld of organized crime in the Mafia. The storyline is written by crime author David Fisher with collaboration from former mafioso Salvatore “Bill” Bonanno. The player assumes the role of Joey Verola, a former soldier, as he is indoctrinated into the world of American organized crime and must relive his life every moment, every kill as he rises through the ranks to become a Mademan. The storyline spans three decades of his life, from the horror of Vietnam to the urban jungle of Brooklyn.

Shooting brain dead mafia thugs while listening to an inordinate amount of heavily accented cursing yep, that’s Made Man in a nutshell.

Made Man tells the story of Joey Verola, a longtime Mafia crony who’s on the verge of being “made.” Most of the story is a series of flashbacks that Joey recants to a friend while they drive through New York. What, exactly, the whole plot is actually about is never terribly clear. The game jumps around a lot, and the cutscenes aren’t scripted well enough to properly extrapolate on what’s going down. One minute you’re hijacking a truck in North Carolina; the next you’re in the middle of the Vietnam War. The in between bits of narration try to set all this up into an overarching tale of gold buried in a coffin and rival families in cahoots with federal agents to take you down, but it’s all very disjointed and, after a while, insufferable. The lone positive is that Joey is voiced by a solid actor who seems to be channeling Goodfellas era Ray Liotta at times, and he sells the character as best he can. But every other actor hams it up so badly, and the plot itself is so scattered and unintelligible, that the whole thing is downgraded to somewhere between Godfather III and Corky Romano in the lexicon of mob fiction.

Bad Boys 2 Game is very similar to the first part of GTA. You’re a guy who works for the Mafia. You can walk in the city and steal the cars you see. Just get close the car and press Enter to get into it. You’ll get different missions. Read the dialogues carefully to know what to do.

The actual story in Bad Boys 2 is largely irrelevant. It has something to do with Colombian drug lords, Russian mobsters, dirty cops, and a lot of bad guys getting shot in the face. That’s pretty much all you need to know. The whole game takes place across several “acts,” each of which contains a few different stages. The actual missions aren’t terribly involved. They basically tend to revolve around the typical “get from point A to point B and shoot everyone in your path” ilk. Occasionally, you’ll have to protect your artificial intelligence-controlled partner (you control either Marcus or Mike, depending on the mission) or collect some evidence or what have you, but it’s all pretty much incidental to your primary goal of killing lots and lots of people.
